We are currently seeking qualified Cook with pastry experience to join our team in our entertainment facility (GMC Fun place) based in Kitengela.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of goods following traditional and modern recipes.
  • Understand visitors’ preferences and make suggestions based on findings.
  • Ability to do variety of Pastries which include Cakes, pies, croissants, meat Pies, Chicken Pies, Quiches, tarts, doughnuts, muffins, samosas etc.
  • Ability to decorate pastries and Cakes using different icings, toppings etc.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget.
  • Assist the head chef in coordinating the entire kitchen operation, stewarding, cooks/ prep cooks and the pass during scheduled shifts.
  • Estimates food stocks, ordering supplies for the outlets supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize wastage and ensure customer gets value for money.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring an outlet product quality and standard before the product gets to the customer.
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.

  • Check the quality of the material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health & safety standards.
  • Visiting clients on the table from time to time for quality check and customer service.
  • Keeps the head chef fully informed of all rising issues, unusual matters of significance, promptly taking corrective actions where necessary.
  • Responsible for orienting, training and coaching and evaluation of new kitchen staff.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


  • Diploma in food production or relevant field.
  • At least 2-years’ experience in hot kitchen.
  • Proven experience pastry-making, baking or relevant role.
  • Great attention to detail and creativity.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

We are seeking for qualified Business Development Manager to join our professional team at our entertainment facility (GMC POT LIMITED-THE FUN PLACE) based in Kitengela.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

Financial Aspect

  •  Ensure Sound Financial management for the business.
  • Overseeing and Planning for Cashflow.
  • Managing Business Budget through planning, review and Monitoring.
  • Developing strategies that minimize Financial Risk.

 Marketing Function.

  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives for GMC Fun Place Ltd.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Researching on organizations and individual clients to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales to meet sales targets for both Restaurant and Events and Entertainment
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients who inquire about GMC Packages.

 Business Growth.

  •  Developing goals for the team and ensuring they are met for business growth.
  • Prepare and Execute a Sales Plan for GMC Fun place.

People Management.

  • In charge of the overall team in GMC Fun place and ensure to hold daily, weekly meetings with the line managers.
  • Ensure GMC Staff are motivated for high productivity levels.
  • Effective Human Resource Management through the Line Managers and the HR department.
  • Planning for Training for personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

Facility Management

  • Ensure the Facility is maintained well and adopt a keep it new principle.
  • Plan for any repairs, Paintings and ensure handling of equipment is effectively done.
  • Ensure at all time the whole facility is kept sparkling clean and attractive.
  • Perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.


  • Ensure all required Business Licenses are renewed on time.
  • Ensure 100% Legal Compliance of the business.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in B comm marketing or Degree in Business Management.
  • At least 3 years’ Experience.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Experience in sales, marketing or related field.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Strong People Management Abilities.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

Reporting to the Senior Entertainment and Events Manager.

We are seeking for qualified Event and Marketing Coordinators to join our professional team at our entertainment facility  based in Kitengela.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Come up with a strategy for sourcing profitable events.
  • Event planning, design and production while managing delivery elements within time limits
  • Ensure all events promote the brand and increase productivity; communicate and define GMC Pot Ltd brand.
  • Conduct market research, identify event opportunities and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals.
  • Working with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize facilities and details such as decor, outside catering, Weddings and Party’s & Carrying out promotions and Market Activations.
  • Generate a calendar of all daily, weekly and monthly events and bookings in the facility.
  • Liaise with Digital marketing and PR teams to promote and publicize events.
  • Provide feedback and periodic reports to facility management.
  • Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes.
  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and events quality.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Required education and skills:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Event Management, Sales & Marketing, Public Relations or Communication from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience as an events planner or organizer with an ability to do Décor.
  • Impressive portfolio of previously managed events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events).
  • Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships.
  • Excellent time management, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Should be creative, presentable with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
